Clearwater County VINE Access
Clearwater County's official VINE page points visitors to VINELink and posts the number 866-984-6343. The Idaho Sheriffs Association sponsors Idaho VINE. According to the association, the service keeps interfaces with jail booking systems and the Idaho Department of Correction. A court-date notice module is tied to the Idaho Supreme Court.
VINE centers on status and notice. It is not an arrest-report archive. It is not a booking-photo gallery, and it does not say how a case ended. Someone just booked may not appear yet. Names can match more than one record, and people move between county and state custody. So note the source, the jurisdiction, the status label, and the time you checked. The county VINE source shows how the local deployment is set up. It also shows how to reach it.

The official page opens the door to the service but promises no full public booking list.
Check a Clearwater Person on VINELink
Gather enough identifying detail to separate similar names first. Then enter it only in the official search. Keep a real person's phone, email, PIN, or case details out of screenshots.
- Open VINELink from the county or Idaho VINE source and select Idaho.
- Choose the applicable custody search and enter the person’s known name. Use available secondary details to distinguish multiple matches.
- Read the agency and location before accepting a result. A state prison record is not the same as a Clearwater County Jail booking.
- Record the displayed status and time. If a fresh county arrest is missing, check Arrested Today and call the jail at 208-476-8903.
- Use the registration option only after matching the correct record. Save the confirmation and keep contact details current.
The official public search was captured with no real person data entered.

This plain search screen fits one-person custody checks, not bulk publication.
What a VINE Arrest Check Shows
Fields vary by agency and record. Read any status as a current service message, not a full case history.
| Information | Question answered | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Name or identifying details | Which record may match | Identity from name alone |
| Custody status | Whether the service reports custody | Every booking is included |
| Facility or agency | Who appears to hold the person | Who made the arrest |
| Movement event | Release, transfer, or escape notice | Final court outcome |
| Court-date module | Available scheduled-event notice | A complete docket |
| Notification options | How alerts may arrive | Guaranteed delivery |
Register for Clearwater Custody Alerts
Idaho sources list phone, text, and email alert options. Registering may ask for a PIN or account details. The PIN guards phone access to your alert settings, so use contact information you actually watch and update it when it changes.
- Confirm that the result belongs to the intended person and custody system.
- Select the event notices offered for that record, such as release, transfer, escape, or a supported court date.
- Choose an available phone, text, or email method. Follow the official prompts for a PIN or account.
- Review the confirmation. Store it without exposing the person’s record or your private contact details.
- Keep an independent safety plan and direct agency numbers. Never depend on one automated alert for immediate safety.
The official VINE registration route illustrates the notification workflow.

The capture contains no real registration data and supports the official alert process.
County Jail and IDOC Alerts
County jail custody and Idaho state custody need separate checks. A Clearwater County arrest may start at the county jail. It may end in release. Or it may end in transfer, or in another authority's hands. Prison sentences, probation, and parole all sit inside the Idaho Department of Correction system instead.
The IDOC victim-services page has reported IDOC's VINELink service as inactive or under restoration. It points users to the daily IDOC Resident/Client Search. Use it for current resident locations. That notice says nothing about Clearwater County jail alerts. It just means county and state services are not one uninterrupted feed.
| Need | Best official route | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Fresh county booking | Sheriff app and jail phone | Near-current county custody |
| Custody movement alert | Idaho VINE / VINELink | Participating agency events |
| State prison or supervision | IDOC Resident/Client Search | Prison, probation, parole |
| Court outcome | Idaho iCourt and county clerk | Filed case and disposition |
VINE Limits and Direct Verification
A VINE result can lag. It may trail a new booking or a later move. Alerts also depend on source data, contact settings, and delivery. The county does not publish how fast its jail system syncs with VINE. Assume no guaranteed delay or update cycle.
The Sheriff app adds a local who-is-in-custody list, news, jail details, tips, road closures, and live incident updates. It complements VINE. It does not replace alerts or written records. The county has not said whether the app shows booking photographs or mirrors the jail database exactly.
VINELink is not a federal locator either. Federal Bureau of Prisons custody runs through the BOP locator. Some immigration custody runs through the ICE detainee locator. Neither serves as a Clearwater County arrest roster.
Preserve the Underlying Arrest Record
Alerts fade fast. When a booking, release, or incident must be preserved in writing, ask for the record itself. Contact the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office at 150 Michigan Avenue, Orofino, ID 83544, mailing address P.O. Box 724. Request the booking sheet, release record, incident report, and any releasable photograph as separate items, and give a narrow date range plus any known booking, incident, or case number.
A booking is administrative jail intake. A release notice reports a custody change only. A disposition is the court's resolution. Keeping these terms straight keeps a VINE alert from being read as something it is not. The Clearwater County recent-arrests hub walks through the full records-request and court path. Official sources come first. Third-party booking pages may lag, run thin, or go stale, and they cannot stand in for VINE, the jail, or the court.
